A number of road projects in Winneshiek County continue, in an effort to get the work done while the weather remains favorable.
County Engineer Lee Bjerke says crews are laying asphalt on Quarry Hill Road this week after the asphalt plant was shut down by problems twice last week.
There's plenty of work going on along North Winn Road as well, says Bjerke, with crews from JB Holland laying pipes on both the north side and south side of the road and with Brennan Construction continuing to work on box culverts.
Crews are also paving the approaches to a bridge on Madison Road, says Bjerke.
Finally, a number of smaller projects are wrapping up in a variety of locations on local roads in the county.
