City of Decorah leaf pickup moves to wards 4 & 5 starting Monday

City of Decorah Street Department crews will be working in the area of Luther College this week.  Crews will pass through Wards 4 & 5 to pick up leaves left by homeowners.

The city asks people to rake leaves into windrow piles in the street along the curb area in front of their house.  The vacuum cannot pick up other types of yard waste, such as brush, sticks and garden refuse.

Property owners are also asked to avoid parking near leaf piles on scheduled pickup days.

For other residents in the City of Decorah, the Yard Waste Site on Trout Run Road will remain open from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. weekdays, with extended hours until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.  The Yard Waste Site will also be open from 8:00 a.m. until noon on Saturdays.
