The City of Decorah's leaf pickup continues

Decorah City Street Department crews will be collecting leaves in Ward 3 starting Monday.  City crews will pick up only leaves—the vacuum cannot pick up sticks, brush, garden refuse or other yard waste.  Rake leaves into windrow piles—crews are slowed down if they have to look for and handle separate leaf piles.  Please avoid parking near leaf piles on scheduled pickup days.
 
At the same time as leaves are being picked up by city crews, there will be round-the-clock leaf drop off at the Street Department's headquarters at 108 Railroad Avenue and the city's compost site on Trout Run Road will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. weekdays, as well as 8:00 a.m. until noon Saturday and until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evenings.
