Winneshiek Medical Center has a net operating loss in August

Winneshiek Medical Center is reporting total net operating revenues of $5 million for August 2017, which was below the amount budgeted.  August's total operating expenses totaled $5.2 million, which meant WMC had an operating loss of $137,527 in August.

August expenses and year-to-date expenses were both favorable to budget, but net revenues have been increasing more slowly than budgeted.

With non-operating revenues of $60,132, Winneshiek Medical Center net loss in August was $77,395.

For fiscal year 2017, which spanned July 2016 through June 2017, total operating revenues of Winneshiek Medical Center were $58,332,000, a 2.1 percent increase from the prior year.  Total operating expenses for the fiscal year were $58,210,000, which produced net operating income for the fiscal year of $122,000--an operating margin of 0.2 percent.
