John Cline Elementary School in Decorah has hosted its first Kindergarten Family Literacy Night.  
 
Students and families played games such as Alphabet Twister and a letter scavenger hunt, prepared alphabet-themed snacks (Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees and Cat in the Hat hats), received new books while playing Bingo for Books, practiced their writing skills, made nursery rhyme art projects, and created tools for literacy success at home.  
 
The Decorah PTO sponsored the event.  The Luther women's basketball team volunteered for the night.
