Eitzen man arrested on several charges

It started as a traffic stop on Friday night.  But when it ended, an Eitzen man had several criminal charges filed against him.

Decorah police say an officer stopped 29-year-old Vincent Sutton of Eitzen on Winnebago Street around 11:15 Friday night.  Officers were in the process of arresting Sutton for Operating While Intoxicated when he allegedly began fighting with officers and tried to flee.  One of the officers suffered minor injuries.

Sutton was taken to the Winneshiek County Jail, where he was charged with not only OWI, but with Interference with Official Acts, Causing Injury to a Peace Officer, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
