Decorah FFA competes at Livestock Judging Contest

13 Decorah FFA members recently competed at the Clayton County Livestock Judging Contest. Members evaluated seven classes of livestock, including breeding heifers, prospect market steers, breeding ewes, market lambs, breeding does, market hogs, and breeding gilts.

In the Junior Division, the team of Carter Falck, Ashley Nierling, and Izzy Kingsbury received 9th overall, and the team of Garrett Lovstuen, Steven Sexton, and Tyler Bullerman placed 10th overall. Other junior division participants include Alexis Averhoff, Kaitlyn Golly, and Shayla Smith.

In the Senior Division, the team of Nick Kuehner, Hailey Nierling, Daniel Schwartzhoff, and Stacia Sexton took 3rd overall, with Nick Kuehner placing 5th individually, and Hailey Nierling placing 7th individually.
