Luther College has released its fall enrollment summary report--and the enrollment declines of recent years are continuing.
The school reports an enrollment of 2,053 students this fall. That compares to 2,169 students last fall, 2,337 students in the fall of 2015 and 2,466 students in the fall of 2013. Since 2013, enrollment at the school has declined by 418 students--17 percent less.
The 2,053 students on campus this fall include 517 first-year students and 23 transfer students. The total enrollment includes students from 39 states and 74 countries (Iowa and the United States are counted).
Measuring this fall's enrollment in terms of "full time equivalent" students, there are 2,026 students. That compares to last fall's FTE of 2,149 students.
