Positions difficult to fill – School Board approves shift differential pay for night custodians

The Decorah Community School Board has approved a 50 cent shift differential pay for second shift custodial staff.  They cited difficulty in filling vacancies, and hoped the additional pay would be an incentive for new employees. They also noted this is a common practice in manufacturing jobs. The new rate will take place October 1.
