Turkey Valley teacher named 2017 Iowa DARE Educator of the Year

Turkey Valley sixth grade teacher and coach Dan Stepan has been named the Iowa DARE Officers' Association 2017 Educator of the Year. 

He was selected because of his commitment to education and the Winneshiek County DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program.  Stephan was presented the award at an assembly at Turkey Valley School this week. 

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office has been involved in the DARE Program since 1991.
