On the move: WCCVB's Executive Director is moving out of her office and onto the road

Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director Charlene Selbee is doing away with her office at the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce office in an effort to get out on the road more.

Selbee, who had such a "mobile office" in previous tourism jobs, says WCCVB will move out of its current Visitor's Center location at 507 W. Water Street in Decorah in October--although visitor brochures and resources will remain located in the Visitor's Center.

Selbee says the change will provide opportunities to be on the road to meet with WCCVB members and prospective members and to attend tourism events.

WCCVB board president Dan Meador says dropping the office space will free up funding to invest in more effective digital outreach and additional rack card locations throughout the county.  He says such a move would make WCCVB even more effective in bringing visitors to the county.
