Deadline to register for Walking School Bus program in Decorah is approaching

Studies show physical activity helps improve academic performance and health in children.

That's why "Walking School Bus" routes have been organized in Decorah.  A Walking School Bus is a group of students who walk to and/or from school with one or more responsible supervisors. 

Two WSB groups walk to John Cline every morning and one WSB walks from John Cline to the west side on Thursday afternoons.  Additionally, a WSB will be available from John Cline to Decorah Public Library on Wednesday afternoons so children can participate in "Curious Kids," a free after-school program.
