Documentary planned about former Luther football player Chris Norton

A documentary is being produced about the life of former Luther College football player Chris Norton.  Filming will be done Sunday in Decorah on the feature documentary film, "7 Yards: The Chris Norton Story."

In October of 2010, a spinal cord injury suffered during a Luther football game left him with what doctors said was a 3 percent chance to regain feeling below his neck.  Instead, Chris was able eventually to walk across the stage to receive his Luther diploma and walked down the aisle with his bride, Emily.

From 2:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday Decorah community members are invited to Carlson Stadium at Luther to be part of the filming of "7 Yards."  Wear game-day attire.  The film crew that will be at the stadium will direct the crowd to cheer and Chris Norton will be on hand to be filmed and to give a speech.
