Decorah City Council transfers property to the Fair Board

The City of Decorah is transferring 175 feet of right-of-way off Sumner Street to the Winneshiek County Fair Board.

The transfer is the result of conversations between the city and the Fair Board that also include the possible transfer of Fair Board property to the city.  That step in the process has not yet been completed, but city officials say a meeting between the two sides last week resolved all the questions and they expect the other property transfer to go through.
