EARL Public Transit Announces 50% Price Reduction for Rural Trips

Effective Friday, EARL Public Transit is lowering fares for rural trips.  The fares will drop from $1/mile to 50¢/mile.
 
The agency says it is making the change because "We exist to serve the public (and) they are better served if they can afford to ride public transit."
 
The weekend rate of $1.50/mile will continue, as will the $2 in-town rate. Any existing agency/organizational rates also remain unchanged. This rate change applies only to those rural riders who must pay out-of-pocket, not to agencies/organizations.
