Winneshiek County supervisors want more answers about a manure management plan before voting on a construction permit for the expansion of D & J Hogs LLC livestock operation near Ridgeway.

Questions came up Monday morning about whether roughly 30 acres of land in the CRP were included in the manure management program for the property.  Property owner Jeff Wemark said he did not want to use that property in the plan, but that lowered the number of usable acres to within 20 acres of the number needed.

DNR staffers from the Manchester Office will do a site review in the next month and Winneshiek County supervisors say they want to see the report on that site review before voting.
