Applicant recommended for the position of Decorah Fire Engineer

The Decorah Fire Department is once step closer to once again having three full-time Fire Engineers.

The city's Civil Service Commission on Friday morning certified the list of applicants who had taken the Civil Service exam and passed.  Commission members then ranked the applicants.

Their recommendation of the person they believe should be hired for the job will now be forwarded to City Administrator Chad Bird, who will be in charge of picking the next Fire Engineer.
