Location of new Decorah Auto Center will be annexed into the City of Decorah

The City of Decorah is working with the owners of Decorah Auto Center to help them move to property at the intersection of Highways 9 & 52.

The property currently is in the unincorporated part of Winneshiek County, but will be annexed into the City of Decorah as part of the development.

City officials met Tuesday with developers to continue the discussion of what steps are needed.  A public hearing has been scheduled for September 5th's Decorah City Council meeting to consider a resolution amending the Southwest Decorah Urban Renewal District, which already included the property.
