Posted: Tue, Aug 15, 2017 10:07 AM

This fall, Decorah Public Library will introduce a new after school program called "Curious Kids" on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 p.m.until  4:15 p.m. Children in kindergarten through fourth grade are invited to come to the Public Program Room of the library for hands-on STEAM-based projects.

"Curious Kids" is designed to stimulate creative exploration and problem solving through fun, easy projects. This program is guaranteed to spark your child's interest in science, design, engineering, or art!

Several fun projects are planned for "Curious Kids" in September. Come to the library to make neon slime, bouncy balls, paper houses, and skewer structures. For additional information, please contact Children's and Youth Librarian Joan Roach at jroach@decorah.lib.ia.us or (563)382-3717. This program is limited to 24 children on a first-come basis.

A walking school bus will be available from John Cline Elementary to Decorah Public Library on Wednesday afternoons. To register your child for this service, please contact April Bril at abril@uerpc.org or 563-382-6171 by September 6th. Parents or adult volunteers who are willing to walk children to the library are needed.
