Luther's Unison Piano Duo holds a fundraising recital--in Borneo

Luther College's Unison Piano Duo has helped to raise over $2,000 with a one-night recital in Kunching, Borneo.

The Luther College grand piano duet team of Du Huang and Xiao Hu performed at "A Night of Music and Songs," sponsored by the Kuching North Lions Club.

The two played piano pieces by Edvard Grieg and Johann Sebastian Bach.

Proceeds from ticket sales and donations totaled almost 9000 Malaysian Ringgit, which translates to $2,100 US.  However, Lions Club members say they are still accepting donations.  The money will be given to a program that restores vision to the visually-impaired, as well as to the Kuching Autistic Association and the Sarawak Children's Cancer Society.
