Community picnic aims at creating....community

Enjoying the good weather

Three Decorah churches joined forces Tuesday night to host a picnic aimed at bringing people together.

First Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church were sponsors of the program to encourage people to get together to meet friends and neighbors at a picnic.

At First Lutheran, a band performed, a fire engine and police car were in the parking lot and food was available--including that staple of all picnics, watermelon.
