Decorah has a used fire engine for sale

One of the ways the City of Decorah is paying for the new $900,000 fire engine it bought from the City of Indianola is by selling the fire engine the new fire engine has replaced.
 
City Administrator Chad Bird says several communities are interested in purchasing the old fire engine and one community has shown special interest. 

The rural and city fire department boards will meet Tuesday, August 22nd.  Bird says he's hopeful he will be able to make an announcement on that date.
