City of Decorah officials continue to work on plans for a possible new hangar at the Decorah Airport.
Gundersen Health Systems wants the new hangar for its Med Link helicopter, which is now headquartered at the Decorah Airport. Gundersen would repay the cost of the new hangar through rent payments. Decorah officials are hoping the new hangar will have a price tag of under one million dollars.
City officials will hold a conference call Monday with Gundersen officials. A public hearing will be held at 5:45 p.m. next Monday, August 7th, on bonding for the project. If that step is approved, bids on the project could be awarded before the end of August.
