RAGBRAI 8:45AM UPDATE: Iowa kindness impresses biking group

Iowa and Decorah are getting rave reviews from many RAGBRAI riders.

One group of seven bike riders stopped by the Decorah Methodist Church Friday morning before heading out again.  They spoke about the reception they have received from people along the route.

Houston, Texas resident Mike Osterfoss said his bike got a broken wheel earlier this week in Mallard.  But Mallard doesn't have a bike repair shop.  That didn't matter, however, as one Mallard resident named Sue threw Osterfoss' bike in the back of her truck and drove Osterfoss to the bike repair shop 13 miles away.

Osterfoss was impressed by the woman's kindness--and by her refusal to take any money for driving him 13 miles to the repair shop.
