A Spillville man faces a charge of felony assault on a peace officer, aggravated misdemeanor assault on a peace officer, interference with official acts, four counts of first degree aggravated misdemeanor harassment and one count of trespassing.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to a home near Ridgeway around 3:45 Monday afternoon. 45-year-old Jeremy Meyer of Spillville was found at the home.
Deputies say Meyer began making several threats to multiple individuals and resisted arrest.
He was taken to the Winneshiek County Jail. At the jail, Meyer allegedly assaulted two deputies, with one of the deputies being injured.
Meyer has had eight criminal charges filed against him. He remains in custody.
