NICC's Health Information Technology Associate of Applied Science online program has earned a #21 ranking out of 107 such programs in the U.S. after a review of accredited two-year HIT programs at schools across the nation by AffordableColleges.com.
The website says 100 percent of students who graduated with the degree in 2015 reported finding employment in their field. The study evaluated and ranked all programs in the U.S. based on tuition costs, online availability and employment rates.
"Our goal is that every student who walks away after graduation finds satisfaction in their chosen career path," said HIT program director and associate vice president of operations at NICC Rhonda Seibert. She added, "The program offers a strong foundation in many areas of health information services, and students can pursue multiple employment paths. Students know that this profession demands lifelong learning because the health industry and the management of information changes continuously."
