David and Brenda Broghamer of Winneshiek County will be inducted into the 2017 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame next month.
The Broghammers will be recognized at a ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 20th, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
David and Brenda Broghamer both joined 4-H when they were 9 years old.
David belonged to the Pleasant Pushers, and Brenda was a member of the
Glenwood Future Homemakers 4-H club.
David and Brenda married in 1976. David became partners with his dad, Marcy, on the family dairy farm. The Broghamers continued to participate in 4-H. David was the leader of the Pleasant Pushers 4-H club for 10 years, volunteered on the Pine Bluff 4-H Camp Board and served on the Winneshiek County Fair Auxiliary Board. Brenda served on the Youth Development Committee for 6 years and volunteered with the Glenwood Future Homemakers club.
Both have received the Winneshiek County 4-H Alumni Award. In 2012, they received the 4-H Volunteer Family Award.
