Funds from the 2017 Empty Bowls project dispersed

Funds from the 2017 Empty Bowls - Decorah fundraiser now have been donated to five local organizations working to fight food insecurity in and around Decorah. Local organizations receiving donations are Decorah Kid's Backpack Program, Farmers Market Voucher Program, Decorah Lutheran Food Pantry, First Lutheran Food Pantry, and the Decorah Community Meal.

Since its inception in 2006, Empty Bowls – Decorah has raised well over $100,000 to support efforts to fight food insecurity in northeast Iowa as well as worldwide.
