New City IT Director hired

The City of Decorah has hired a new IT Director.

Chopper Albert will begin work at City Hall on July 24th.  Albert is the former City/County IT Director, but he resigned last June, stating in a letter he released publicly that "my value has not been appreciated."

Earlier this year, the City of Decorah officially ended its IT personnel sharing agreement with Winneshiek County, although it will continue to share some computer equipment.  It then advertised for applications for the new position.
