Fort Atkinson woman ticketed following accident

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a traffic accident Wednesday morning in Calmar.

The Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Mariah Schmitt of Fort Atkinson rear ended a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Judith Miller of Postville as Miller slowed to turn left into a private drive.

The accident caused over $6,500 in damages.  Schmitt was ticketed for failure to maintain control. No injuries were reported.
