Site plan for St. Benedict Catholic Church wins committee approval

The Decorah Planning & Zoning Commission has approved a site plan for the proposed addition to St. Benedict's Catholic Church.  The site plan will now be sent on to the Decorah City council for final action next Monday.

St. Benedict priest Father Phil Gibbs said earlier, "Our hopes are that the first week of August we'll start digging. We hope to have a groundbreaking ceremony in August."
 
The project is expected to take approximately 11 months. The hope is to have everything enclosed by the time winter sets in so inside work can be completed this winter.
