Decorah School Board President Ron Fadness says he will seek re-election to another term on the school board in the September 12th election.
Monday is the first day candidates for one of the two school board seats up for election this fall can file nomination papers.
Fadness tells decorahnews.com he will run for re-election. The other school board member whose seat is up this September, Cindy Schissel, could not be reached for comment.
Fadness was first elected to the school board in 2009, replacing David Ranum, who had decided not to seek re-election. Fadness was re-elected in 2013 and named school board president in the same year.
He is a 1983 graduate of Decorah High School with a degree in secondary education from the University of Iowa. He works as General Counsel on-staff for Bruening Rock Products and Skyline Construction.
