The Decorah Parks and Recreation Department now has more money to help pay for trees, thanks to a donation by the Decorah Lions Club.
The Lions donated $2,233 from their Lions Club Tree Bank. The tree bank was established as a partnership between the Decorah Lions Club and the Decorah Parks and Recreation Department. This fund will be used to replace trees on public property that were removed as a result of emerald ash borer, safety concerns or other reasons. The Lions Club has pledged to support the tree bank for five years.
