No offer yet from the insurance company in the crash of Dahly Bridge

While a Parkersburg man has entered a "guilty" plea to a traffic charge involving the collapse of the Dahly Bridge over the Upper Iowa River, the insurance company for the grain hauling company has not yet made an offer to Winneshiek County to pay for the costs of replacing the bridge.

Brennan Construction of Lansing handled the bridge clean-up.  Winneshiek County Engineer Lee Bjerke says Brennan has just been paid for the cleanup by the county, so that cost will be forwarded to the insurance company.  Winneshiek County crews have also been working to remove the remainder of the iron components of the bridge from the site.  Says Bjerke, "We will send them all that info, as requested by them, and go from there."
