Chrysler dealership is coming to Decorah

A new car dealership is coming to Decorah.

KAR Auto Group, which operates Decorah Auto Center, Decorah Chevrolet Cadillac, Albertson Auto Center in Spillville and Blackhawk Motors in Prairie du Chien, has announced it will be adding a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram franchise in Decorah.

The new franchise will be located within the current Decorah Auto Center facility at 1817 Highway 9 East in Decorah.  But the company says it will build a new home for Decorah Auto Center and its Ford and Lincoln franchises.  The new facility will be located at the intersection of Highways 9 & 52 in Decorah, across from Windridge Implement at the former Burg Farm & Home property. The Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram franchise will remain at 1817 Highway 9.

KAR Auto Group says it will hold a groundbreaking early in July, with a moving date set for November.  It also says the acquisition of the Chrysler franchise will result in adding approximately 20 jobs in Decorah.
