The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating and identifying a dog which recently attacked a local woman, causing serious injury to her leg. The accident occurred while the woman was on the bike trail near Freeport.
The dog is described as an all-white, muscular, short-haired, medium- sized dog around 50 to 60 pounds. The owner of the dog is described as a thin, white male, with short brown hair in his late 50's or 60's. When the victim asked the owner what his name was, he responded with "Julius Rambunctious." The owner then took his dog and fled.

The Sheriff's Office says it has recently taken several reports of dog attacks throughout the county. These incidents do not appear to be related. The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who is a victim of a dog attack or witnesses one to call the Sheriff's Office immediately.
