Dahly Bridge over the Upper Iowa River remains a popular place for canoeists and kayakers to put into the river--even after the Dahly Bridge collapsed into the river and had to be removed.
But Winneshiek County doesn't want river enthusiasts parking near the remains of the old bridge. That's why county officials are concerned that several "no parking" signs that had been standing near the bridge have now been removed.
The Sheriff's Department has been notified of the incidents and is on the look for anyone removing the signs. In the meantime, county crews were back on the scene Monday, reinstalling the signs.
