RAGBRAI's visit to Decorah will have a "shut down time"

RAGBRAI will roll through Decorah on Friday, July 28th.

Each community that hosts RAGBRAI has agreed to a "shut down" time.  This time is established so RAGBRAI organizers can move bike riders to the next town in a safe and timely manner.

For Decorah, the official shut down time will be 2:30 p.m. on Friday.  If there are still too many RAGBRAI riders at bars, pubs and beer gardens in Decorah, State Patrol personnel who accompany RAGBRAI will ask business owners to shut down for 15 to 30 minutes to clear out bike riders.

After the bike riders leave, the businesses can reopen their doors.
