Two Luther students will be spending their summer working for the Office of the Secretary of the United States Senate. Luther junior Geoffrey Dyck and sophomore Anna Phearman have been awarded internships by Secretary of the Senate Julie E. Adams, who is a 1999 Luther graduate.
Both Dyck and Phearman are political science majors at Luther.
As part of the internship, Dyck and Phearman will build work experience while learning about the Senate, legislative procedures, and day-to-day operations of the U.S. Congress. They will also attend lectures and tours, and complete other educational activities as part of the internship.
The offices under the secretary of the Senate provide legislative, financial and administrative support to senators as well as the entire Senate community
