Luther students and community members who are Muslim were able to break their Ramadan fast on Tuesday night by visiting the Decorah United Methodist Church..
The Muslims first drank water to break their fasts, then had a potluck meal that had been organized by church members.
Volunteers say the meals are a time of sharing stories and breaking bread together.
The Muslims say it is difficult to find places to have food after sunset during summers in Decorah, so they appreciate the church's efforts.
