Wal-Mart parking lot accident causes $3,500 in damages

Decorah Police were called to the Walmart parking lot Saturday afternoon.

Officers say 79-year-old Merlyn Finley of Decorah thought he was parked in the lot, but the transmission of his van was in reverse.  He reached for an item in his van, the van backed up and struck a parked car, causing $3,500 in damages.  Finley was not injured.
