Decorah RAGBRAI food vendors will have to comply with state food standards

Volunteers on the Decorah RAGBRAI Committee are trying to get the word out to people selling food on Friday, July 28th.

Food vendors will need a license If they are providing unpackaged food or beverages to the public, serving food that requires temperature control or cutting fruit.  Setting up on private property does not make vendors exempt from this rule.  Prepayment for a license is $33.50.  If you do not have a license, you will be shut down. Vending on public property must be approved by the RAGBRAI committee. Contact Kristina Wiltgen at the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce for more information.
