Luther College's Preus Library has received the "Kids Count" award from Iowa's National History Day Contest.

The State Historical Society of Iowa and the National History Day in Iowa presented the award because of Preus Library's welcoming atmosphere and assistance to young historians as they work on their History Day projects.

Luther College Library staff and professors invite students to research their History Day topics at the Library throughout the school year, providing lessons on researching, suggestions, and support finding materials.

Professor Jackie Wilkie accepted the award on behalf of Luther College.
