Fair queen contestants sought for the 2017 Winneshiek County Fair

The Winneshiek County Agricultural Association is currently seeking candidates for this year's fair queen. 

Candidates must be between the ages of 16 and 21 on the first day of the Iowa State Fair. Contestants need to live in Winneshiek County or an adjoining county if the majority of her activities are in the county she represents.

Contestants must be an active member of at least one service organization in her community such as 4-H, church, FFA, Girl Scouts etc. The fair queen will be expected to compete at the Iowa State Fair in August.

Applications are due by June 20th. The queen contest is July 9th, 2017.  Crowning is July 13th at the fairgrounds.
