Decorah native and Luther graduate Justin Albers nominated to be the next Decorah Middle School Principal

Decorah School Superintendent Mike Haluska has announced he is recommending the school board hire Justin Albers as the next Decorah Middle School Principal.

Albers has spent 11 year in the Sheldon Community School District--seven years as a middle school social studies teacher, two years as a 7-12 grade activities director and two years as 7-12 grade activities director and high school assistant principal.  Albers, who is 35 years old, is a Decorah High School graduate and Luther College graduate.

Said Albers, "The current Decorah Middle School staff has set the bar high and the students themselves have high expectations of what they want in their middle school experience.  I'm looking forward to being a part of that journey."  Concluded Albers, "My fiance, Lindsey, and I are excited to move back to the area and to become active members of such a great community."
