Midwest Group Benefits of Decorah and Group Benefit Partners of Fort Madison and Waverly have merged operations.
Group Benefits Partners, a broker/consultant for employee benefit plans in the Midwest, is expanding their consulting services by partnering with Midwest Group Benefits of Decorah.
Midwest Group Benefits, a Third Party Administrator (TPA) for self-funded and partially self-funded health insurance plans, flexible benefit plans, 401k retirement plans and COBRA, will continue to operate in their current location in Decorah's business park at 2316 Sweet Parkway Road. In addition, the MGB sales team of Brian Huinker, Peggy Lensing and Nikki Thompson will move to a new downtown Decorah location under the name "Group Benefit Partners" in early to mid-summer.
"As our business continues to grow, we look forward to providing the same first-class customer service to our clients and their employees from both locations," said Midwest Group Benefits CEO Sara Hotvedt.
Midwest Group Benefits consultant Brian Huinker says, "With the merger and growth of our NE Iowa business, we will be in need of more space in the near future. The leadership team in our combined organization is committed to making our community a better place, and opening a downtown location seemed like the right thing to do."
Group Benefits Partners will be located on 118 West Water Street in the newly formed Water Street Professional Group Building (formerly Country Gardens and Bridal Productions). The building will have 4 suites; Group Benefit Partners, Thrivent Financial, and two additional office spaces (currently open with approximately 1,000 square feet in each available suite).
