Decorah resident April Bril is one of just 15 people selected for this year's Iowa Walking College.
The Iowa Walking College is an interactive six-month program to explore ways to improve walkability in communities across Iowa. Those selected to participate in the program receive scholarships, so they participate at no cost.
Bril works for Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission and has done a lot of work with the Walking School Bus Program and other efforts aimed at getting more people to walk.
