Aase Haugen plans event for National Nursing Home Week beginning Sunday

Aase Haugen Senior Services will be celebrating National Nursing Home week starting Sunday, with a host of special events planned.

The week kick offs with a Mother's Day Coffee Hour at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.   All are welcome to visit their loved one or friend living at Aase Haugen Senior Services.
 
At 10:00 a.m. Monday, a representative from the Alzheimer's Association will speak in the Board room of Aase Haugen on the topic, "Effective Communication Strategies for Persons with Dementia."  Also Monday, Steve Belay will play music at 6:00 p.m.
 
From 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday, Aase Haugen Senior Services will be hosting a Senior Health and Wellness Fair in the Chapel.  There will be booths with representatives from local agencies and organizations discussing health, mental acuity, vision, finances, insurance, emotional and physical wellbeing and service options for seniors.  Aase Haugen Senior Services will be offering free blood pressure checks and free blood sugar testing to participants.  This event is free to the public and open to the entire community.
