Michael Bean and Jared Pavlovec rejoice that their egg survived the egg drop.

More than 300 people participated in Carrie Lee Elementary School's first-ever STEAM Night.   Students, parents, siblings, and staff members joined together in a community investigation and exploration of Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics.

The event included a Makerspace, a green screen video activity, coding with Osmos, robotics, 3Doodlers, and more.  Stations were set up around the school.  Staff members and Area Education Agency employees volunteered their time to help each activity run smoothly.

The night ended with an egg drop competition and a drone demonstration by the Decorah Fire Department.
