May is Tourism Month, so it's appropriate that the Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau has begun production on the 2017 Decorah & Winneshiek County Visitors Guide.
The full-color, glossy, digest size publication has information about where to eat, what to do, and where to stay while visiting Winneshiek County. It will also recommend half-day and full-day itineraries.
WCCVB Executive Director Charlene Selbee says the deadline to be included in the Visitors Guide is Monday, May 15th. "15,000 Visitors Guides are distributed annually by the Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau. We distribute guides at state of Iowa Welcome Centers, Northwest Sports Show, La Crosse Expo, Iowa State Fair, area museums, attractions, and businesses," explained Selbee. The Visitors Guide is also mailed out to people requesting copies.
Tourism is a nearly $30 million industry in Winneshiek County, providing 340 jobs.
